CLOSED: Need help with beetle ID

Benton County, MO(Zone 5a)

This was a tiny little beetle on our Bing Cherry tree. He kept flying so it was hard to get a good shot, but hopefully someone can help me with IDing him? He was probably no longer than an 8th of an inch. Thanks!

Here is another picture. A little blurrier, but you can see his abdomen better.

I think it's this casebearer beetle, Babia quadriguttata

You're welcome -some are easier than others, I just hope that's the right beetle.

Looking at this bug, I have no doubt that you are right. Here they are on bug guide. http://bugguide.net/node/view/1571

How do I go about getting this bug added to the data base? I have done various searches here and can't find it.

Common names: Four-spotted Babia Leaf Beetle, Casebearer Beetle, Short Horned Leaf Beetle
Order: Coleoptera
Family: Chrysomelidae
Genus: Babia
Species: quadriguttata

On the BugFiles home page, there's a link to "add a new bug to the database", but here it is:

Just type in that info you have in the spaces. If you have trouble, just holler.

Thanks so much! :-) Got it done and thanks so much for your help. Closing now. :-)
