Just off 10th and Studewood. The street starts as Montrose street in montrose, becomes Studemont, then Studewood. just over the bridge of White Oak Bayou which is also the beginning of The Heights.
Land Marks are:
10th and Studewood : Glass Wall Resaurant
11th and Beverly : Berry Hill Restaurant
My house is the second to the last house before you hit Beverly, so the closest cross street to my house is
10th and Beverly. If you were to turn right on Beverly you would find Berry Hill Resaurant 1.5 blocks away. There is a 10th 1/2 street..Beware. Beverly then hits 11th which is a main arterial. Berry Hill is 11th and Beverly, 1 block from Buchanons Nursery. (if anyone is familiar with Buchanons

MOSQUITO UPDATE
Well it seems that the WNv (West Nile Virus) manifests in very few people, so will try an stay on top of the problem here. Needless to say, comfort is near the top of my list for a gathering and will remain so despite the obstacles and will make any necessary descisions to achieve that goal!
Confirmed WNv Mosquito activity map. My zipcode is 77008

Count me in Randy. I don't think I need many plants but I can bring a lot!
I think it's a great idea to co-host with Wayne. For anyone who didn't make it last year, his place is fantastic!
Let us all know what you need and I'm sure everyone will pitch in again.
Ahem...are we going to do the wine tasting again? I loved that last year and thought that set us apart from the other swaps. I love buying bottles for the names and have a funny new one to try....'Three Blind Moose'. It's a chardonnay. I'll save it for the gathering, if it's a go.
Oh boy, oh boy - DW and I will be glad to come join the fun again.
Kristi, et al - place your orders now:
Dave (Circle S Vineyards) has just released a zin that is wonderful, and has a white cab that is beautiful to look at and very good cold - looks like a blush, but is a real Summer cab.
We would like to come down too!
Okay...count = 8 as of 6-9-08 1451L 1951Z
At this time the date will be tentatively planned for the 19th.
Even though we are calling this a plant swap, No one need feel like they have to swap plants to attend. It will be a Plant Swap Social...how's that.?
Yes, Bubba you can finally get your cheese dish back! Does Circle S do a Shiraz?
Hey TJ, how have you guys been?
Been fine AND dandy! Jimi's been walking quite a bit and Jordyn's on this "friend" kick. She say's " Daddy, you my friend? " and I say " Yes, Jordyn, I'm your friend. " to which she responds " And Momma, too? ". I don't know what the answer is to that one. As for Ashley, she's now convinced herself that she's fat. I told her she's not fat, just crazy.
How you been, man?
LOL, I'd have to agree with you...she's not fat.
I've been good, picked up alot of overtime last pay period to keep up with the bills. There was a period of 7 days where the itinerary was eat, work, water, sleep - repeat.
Hope you guys can stay the weekend, so we can hang out sat night if the swap social goes down.
Sorry Randy, no Shiraz (yet).
I just might bring some of the cheeses from Houston Dairymaids - so will but that server back into action again.
I think there may still be a bottle or two of the Corvina Amarone - but you would want to hide that for yourself @ almost $60.

If I can talk DH in to another oneand its on the 26th I would love to come! Or maybe I can tempt Cannagirl??
Caren

Caren, Lol I'm tempted! If Mark decides to go I'll meet you two in Lake Charles and follow you over. If not, we can ride together.
Randy- Karla and I would like to be there, also. I'm not sure what we can bring for trade; We kind of cleaned ourselves out for the College Station roundup in April. I know I can bring some Rabbit's Foot Fern cuttings, maybe start some Daturas, and try to air layer a few Sport Hibiscus. The last week of May, we visited with Braveheartsmom in Maui and she said we HAD to come see your jungle, so when I saw your post yesterday I figured it was just fate :) I'll see what we can bring and try to get a trade list set up. (Guess we also need to make a run to Spec's and stock up on good wines) Talk to you later Jim
We already have reservations at Chez RJ. Can hardly wait. WhoooHoooo!!!!!
Aloha,
Princess Kilikina aka Christi
Okay ..Jim,
Like I said...trades are optional...no one need feel they have to bring anything (exept food...yeah..bring food)
Matter of fact judging from last years swap, there will be surpluss items for folks to take.
I'd love to come, too. Either day is fine for me.
Hi Marylyn! good...I will narrow it down to one weekend by this coming Monday after I discuss it with Wayne.
Thank you, Randy!!! ^_^

I'd love to come Randy! Thanks so much for the invite. I'll check with and wrangle Connie and we'll make a weekend of it like we did last year. It was so much fun!!
Janet
Great!! look forward to seeing you then. I'd say there's enough interest already to stop polling and start planning.
DH and I would love to come.
Great...dates okay? Will be solidifying date after I talk to Wayne on Friday.
Count 14
pend 3
Randy, did you send Connie the same Dmail you sent to me? If so, I won't send it to her.
Janet
I did
OK then, I won't waste any keystrokes then. HAHAHAHA
I think it would probably be best if Connie and I brought some drinks and/or picked up bags of ice, or something like that so we don't have to worry about traveling with food so far.
The Tequila Sunrise Hibiscus I got from you last year is a monster! :-) The kind of monster I love! HAHAHAHA Hard to believe this was a cutting!
Janet
Wow,
I know...that plant surprised me. I keep cutting it back, and the next thing I know it's topping the roof again. It really is a monster.
That will be fine on ice and stuff... we'll need non food supplies, so we'll need you in that area anyway.
Non-Food items would be great! Just let us know what we need to bring then. I'm sure you will be organizing the goodies.
Janet
Indeed. Will be talking to Wayne Friday.
Yep. Janet won't have to twist my arm. :)
Good thing. Connie can beat me up! HAHAHAHAHA
I would love to put in pending nothing else comes up.
Thanks,
Sandy ^8^
Count me in! How can I resist the posibility of a monster hibiscus or papaya seedling? I've also heard that ya'll are a great group of people and would love to meet you.
Tabitha
LOL...
glad to hear about monster hibiscus, cause it needs trimmed and am going to make up a bunch of the Tequila sunrises again.
Randy, we have the new home Margarita machine. (Really just a souped up blender). Could you use an extra?
wouldn't hurt...sounds tastey..margaritas
MMM...margaritas!
I was planning a trip to Spec's, anyway, so I'll add a few more beverage items, eh?
I would love to come...missed it last year due to a meeting in San Antonio. But the 19th wouldn't work for me, already got something scheduled. If you move it count me in.
