Barbara is here visiting now. She brought EV and Jack for some spoiling by me!!

Becky has been talking about a weekend RU and now Barbara thinks it is a good idea too.

I am thinking of maybe having it in the dead of winter when no one else is having one.

It would be a great time for planting shrubs and trees. We could always keep warm, but keeping from fainting from the heat is a challenge hard to meet.

I am thinking that late January might be good. Everyone might like the relaxation of a gathering of good ole DG'ers after the challenges of getting through December parties and buying gifts etc.

I see campfires, stew and cornbread, hot chocolate and s'mores for the kiddos. Storytelling around the fire and with so much time we could huddle in the warmth of the center for classes on whatever anyone is willing to teach.

If anyone is wanting anything from the woods, they could tell me before the leaves fall off and I could mark it for digging during the RU. I moved some pretty big trees last winter. Both of the tall ones (if you can call them tall) were dug and moved to the yard last winter. They never even missed a lick this spring.

LMk what everyone is thinking.

Weeeellllll.... I will put my 2 cents in.... when do the spring wildflowers start showing up? I think it will be good to have it earlier, cause it's getting too hot by June, but I don't know if Jan-Feb. we would have that much to trade, unless we overwinter plants.... but then I am a newbie and don't know too much.... BUT I have opinions....lol
