I wrote a little story about getting ready for folks coming to see my garden, like most folks I love to share my garden with other gardeners and I love to go see other folk's gardens...If you have time to read it I sure hope you enjoy it.....I'm thinking this one's a hoot......:)
And again thanks for letting me post my stories here....I sure appreciate it and I hope you enjoy them......

Company Coming
Yup, this one's a hoot! You are a wonderful story teller. Thanks for sharing it with us.
GayLynn
OH, and by the way Paul....I wouldn't move from here to Paducah anyway, even though it is only 20 miles away!
And did they get out and blow their horns, Paul? Hee, hee, great story!
Karen
GayLynn, so happy you liked it....and thanks for taking the time to write.
Sharon, I just love to hear the word 'Paducah'.....I could 'Paducah' all day.....:)
Well Karen I'll know when they get here in the morning about 9.....I expect them to arrive quietly.......:)

Paul, busy busy weekend, just had to come and read yet another of your stories..if I want something to make me smile, your description and wording does it...
1965..hmmm bought myself a corvair, got married at was 17...lol
OK, Paul form Alabama, - how do you get any gardening done - what with writing all these stories?
Come to think of it, how do I get any done, what with reading all of them? - LOL
Its great to be "big" men to carry all these responsibilities, eh?
lol - you've got a point there Bubba...
Paul, hope your little visit went well this morning...... tell us allllll about it. I'll be looking for the new story.
GayLynn
What did you do, Paul, invite them in for tea and crumpets? Or did Mom do that? Did they sneak cuttings of all your lovely blooms? You have to watch out for those little old ladies and their pockets. You never know.....
But it has been 2 hours +. Maybe you had to have a nap after all the excitement.
I do hope they and you had a good time.
Betty so sorry to hear about your car purchase, such a shame, I could have given you a good deal on Nash Rambler station wagon, with faux wood paneling.......:)
Glad you enjoyed the story and thanks for taking the time to write.....
Bubba....How do I find time to garden with all the writing and how do you find time to garden with all your reading, is that the question?.....Well I don't know about you but as for me, the reason I have time to write these little stories now, in the month of May and June is basically 3 reasons....all of them equally important..... Bubba this kinda thing is a private and a very personal thing with me but I'm gonna share it with only you and the 29,397 other paid subscribers to Dave's Garden....and here it is, its called February, March and April.......I work my posterior off during those months doing the usual stuff, mulching, moving stuff, watering in new things, cleaning and sharping tools, edging my borders, shopping for plants, fertilizing, pinching, cutting back stuff.....another words Bubba I do all that so I can spend May, June, July and August writing..........writing and mulching, moving stuff, watering in new things, cleaning and sharping tools, edging my borders, shopping for plants, fertilizing, pinching, cutting back stuff in 100 degree plus heat......:)
Bubba, I'm glad I could straighten that out for you......:)
GayLynn, getting ready to write the whole sordid story and post it right here for the whole world to see, bring all of it to the light of day, the chroncling of the visit of the Jacksonville Garden Club to my see my garden needs the light of day....finally the whole truth comes out......Hey I think I'll start the story off just that way.....thanks.....:)
Sharon, If I told you what happened you wouldn't believe it....but I'm going to tell you anyways.......:)
I should have something up in a couple of hours, I got to do some chores first......
Paul from Alabama
So glad you survived the Garden Club visit - can hardly wait to read your sordid tale.
Bubba, you are right. I have noticed a bit of sordidity in his tales.
It was Paul's word, so I plagiarized it - LOL
I'll be right back, I don't think 'sordidity' is a word........:)
Paul from Alabama
And I think I crucified it...
made it sound like asphidity...
Well Bubba don't repeat everything you read.....:)
Paul from Alabama
Chores call, see you a bit later.......bye Sharon and Bubba
Paul from Alabama
I can't even repeat everything I hear.
Well, Paul from AL...I use it a lot, kinda like mundaneity. Comes in handy to have a built in personalized dictionary. You haven't figured that out yet??
Lord all my life I've had one but didn't know what it was......A 'personalized dictionary'.....Sharon, I thank you for explaining 'me to me'.....I needed that as they say.......:)
Bubba I can't either, only because I remember but half of it anyways......:)
