Framingham, MA(Zone 6a)

cute or not I am setting up the trap again... and as soon as he is traped he will be relocated it!!!!! no I will eat him... I am too soft for that... I will probably feel really sorry if I look it in the eye...

Half a strawberry is likely Chip and Dale or mice. Groundhog would clean out a whole patch and or eat plant and all.

Yes, I agree. They like bigger meals.

Grammy,

A friend of mine didn't want to pay to have the wildlife removal services remove his so he bought a have-a-heart trap instead ... he kept trying and trying to catch the dern things to no avail.

Finally after several weeks, as he pulled out of the driveway one day he realized something was in the trap. So he pulls back up to the house and runs over to the trap. It wasn't a groundhog ... it was a SKUNK! Lol.

So he ended up paying big bucks to have the wildlife removal service come out and remove the trapped skunk ... he said all the guy did was throw a tarp over the trap. With the tarp over the trap apparently the skunk won't spray.

They can't see what way to aim.

I have one GH. I guess "he" has lived in my neigborhood for a long time. I bought my house knowing that there were tunnels under my garage (if you can call it one). I did get out of my garage. He also had a quick escape tunnel under my shed. My shed is on piers. I kicked him out of that too. Now he's at the neighbors but comes to snack.

I used bitter spray on my phlox and coneflowers and he hasn't chewed on them since. I have to spray the new buds when they come up and that's a pain.

The whole neighborhood knows of him. We call it a "him" because we've never seen babies or a second GH.

I have 2 different varitey strains of a GH. Which one is right?

belleville, NJ(Zone 6a)

Milton, MA(Zone 6a)

Fried your what? Are you talking about the Life of Brian? Or A Day in the Life? 101 degrees to the tilted up here.

Cleveland,GA/Atlanta, GA(Zone 7b)

82 here. Sure am glad I don't live up North. It's way too hot for me AND you have all those groundhogs! :)

NORTH CENTRAL, PA(Zone 5a)

Would you like to import one? Can't imagine what gardening without these critters taking more than their share. It adds all kinds of excitement to gardening. You do not know what you are missing. :)

Cleveland,GA/Atlanta, GA(Zone 7b)

Like I said Doc, you clean it, I'll cook it (and eat it). That's the only way I want a groundhog around here. We have them mostly by the road side and in more open field gardens. People here in the country generally have some kind of hunting dog. We have several.
