Lav...moon vine..in a pot.
it's very pretty. never seen that color. i have white and the blooms are big. maybe because they're i the ground
Diana, I think it's a lovely bloom.
jordankittyjo, your's might be macrorhiza, a species, white with a
dark eye. Just a guess on the id and I'm unsure of the spelling.

Wow! Does it bloom at night? Definitely smaller than the I. alba vines and blooms that I have grown. Where did you get the seeds for it?
Hi...well I got the seeds..in a exchange...do not remember who they were from..They are cool I think...different..then the normal..Moon Vine...maybe I will have some seeds to share......The seeds..where large...and they had a hole drilled in them...so cool...easy to get going...for sure...lol...I hope now they are in the ground...the bloom will be bigger..lol...let you know...smiles..Diana
Your vine is Ipomoea turbinata, and you will get lots and lots of seeds.
Here are a couple of photos of my blooms from a couple of years ago.

They are a fun plant to grow.

Oh...thanks...Emma~~~ now that I have it in the ground..will the blooms get bigger...????????? very bright and showy..for sure...

Diana,
The blooms are only about 2" or so on the Ipomoea turbinata, however, the White Ipomoea alba has really nice large blooms that are very fragrant -
and the Hummermoths love them

Aw....well mine before planting in the ground..are only about one inch..hope they like the ground better...hehehe thanks Great info...Emma...

First year for me to try growing the vine.
I get three moons in number, and now they are just in flowering buds.
in the beginning when i got the big seeds, I thought they were some kind of bean' s or tree's, but the label says it is the moon flower. I can't help waiting to see how small the flower is at all.
Hehehe yes Jianhua...fun We have a race sometimes..to see...lol...Now it is your turn...lol...you planted in the ground from the start..So I think your flowers will be bigger then mine...hehehe...They are just so different...I like the color...too...but where they got Lavender?..I do not know...hehe..
smiles..Diana
Ya both are gonna have to show us the photos when they bloom! I wanna see them! :-) Good luck growing them! :-)
