Help please identifying this bug

Hi all,
I am a new member recently moved to Turkey, and am finding all sorts of exotic bugs in my garden.

The one I am particularly interesed in is an orange and black bug which seems quite common.

Can anyone help identifying this:- ie name, habits, and is it harmful to plants or people.

I'm not an expert, but to me it looks like a milkweed bug. Is it about 1/2" long? They eat milkweed plants mostly and don't pose a threat to humans that I know of. I think that they are throughout most of the US.

Yes, That is a milkweed bug. Very common in NJ found on butterfly weed and milkweed.

It's a bug, and it eats plants in the milkweed family, but it's not the same as our milkweed bug:
