CLOSED: Another spider...

(Zone 7a)

So, I'm sitting on my patio and this TINY guy goes past me. I wouldn't have seen it but the cats were on it in a second. What is he? He's about 1/4 in.

Other than stating that this spider is a male (note the enlarged pedipalps), little more can be said without the use of a microscope or strong magnifying glass. A couple of possibilities are a dwarf spider (Family Linyphiidae; subfamily Erigoninae - see http://farm1.static.flickr.com/230/487149463_f8c0390384.jpg?v=0) or a thick-jawed orbweaver (family Tetragnathidae; Pachygnatha spp. - see http://www.pbase.com/ekke/image/54493881)

Hmm...not sure on either of those. I may have to be satisfied with "dwarf spider".

Relooking, I think it is the second spider. Thank you.
