Dawn, are you reading this? Take a tarp to the Roundup for your truck! Not so worried about the highway, but that stuff is fluffy and you don't want to lose any!

I just got a ticket on San Pablo Ave in Berkeley for going 34 in a 30. I think I was going slower than anyone else. Must be pick on older women day. and yes I was going 4 miles over the speed limit.

Sounds like the Berkeley police force might have a little too much spare time on their hands! LOL You would think they'd have better things to do!

ahhh,

Hearing tales of horror from my beloved Berzerkeley just brings back wonderful memories of my grad school education dealing with campus and local police. A department assistant dean that couldn't quite understand the humor in my perfectly timed release of a 4ft Alligator onto the stage during a critical scene of Annie Get Your Gun. Those artistic types seem to think that the science nerds......me, were/are the most maladjusted of all the campus cliques. I spent an interesting night shackled to a bench at the campus police station while 12yr old Berkeley officers lectured me on the dangers of releasing endangered reptiles into a hostile environment (the theater), defenseless.....(The alligator's jaws were taped shut), among all of those savages on the stage....lol.

It's good to read that the overall tone of the rapport between the citizenry and the "authorities" hasn't warmed much in the 2 1/2 decades since I was there. It warms the cockles of my cynical heart to read that while banks are being robbed, the boys/girls in jack-boots haven't lost their penchant for rousting itinerant compost transporters or degenerate traffic ordinance violators.

In the immortal words of Uncle Winston, during the Blitz......"I Love This Town!".......

best to all who fight oppression, vote their conscience, and think Ice Cream is a food group on to itself.
