I've been meaning to do this forever. Starting at 9:45am (early for me - ha!) I took shots around the yard. I did the same at 1:30pm. And again at 3:30pm. I'll do so again soon...
Why? So I can get an idea of how much sun different parts of our yard get at different times of day. Of course, the days are starting to shorten, but with the date and time on each photo, I should be able to estimate.
It's one of those things I tried doing by memory, and as a result, I have many plants I'll have to move because they are doing the "horizontal mambo" reaching for sun! LOL
If you don't have a digital camera, use your regular one - devote a roll of film, and you won't regret it. If you don't want to take picures, how about drawing a simple outline of your yard and flowerbeds, and mark where the sun is at different times of day?
Sun Times...Use that Camera!
What a wonderful mind you have my friend!! I too would make notes on the sun's position and shade during the course of the day but could never keep it up. This is an ingenious way of keeping record. Thankyou :-)
Thanks, Margaret! Well, I didn't take any more pictures taken today, but there's always tomorrow! LOL!
LOLOL - Margaret, Margaret!!!!!! Now the cat's out of the bag!! Hee-hee!!
Ack! Second nature! Margaret, Margaret, Margaret....
;o) Beverley LOL
