I wanted to share a few pictures of some Chachamarus grown from Beth`s seeds she sent me. They are beautiful and even sported a lighter colored one.

Beth`s Chachamaru
That's great to see what you did with them. This is a tough time of year for me, seeing everyone's blooms when my plants are still babies. Mine come on late and bloom till christmas so I'm not complaining, just a little impatient!
Beth, Did you notice any of the light ones on your original parents these seeds came from? That lighter color I think may be a recessive trait requiring a pair of genes to be present in order for it to show up. So, that means some of these may carry a single gene for the lighter color as well but they have only one so the color is dark. Some may not have the gene but you cannot tell the difference between a carrier and one that does not carry it by looking.

All the seeds came off one plant that was darker in color. I think on that one lighter bloom, two dilution genes must have come together.
That means it could turn up unexpectedly at any time and I really Like the dilute flower so it is a good thing. :)

They're beautiful Karen.I got me seeds from Onalee, I have 3 plants that should be making buds soon, so I'm looking forward to see mine bloom.

Very nice blooms! The one I grew was rather a small plant, it never got very big.
Those are really pretty! I like the variation in color and that brush-stroke blending on some of the blooms!
Oh, those look great...
major MG envy going on here
Those are gorgeous. I have fallen in love with morning glories and Caladiums. Who am I kidding. I love almost anything that grows. I would love to get some seeds. Where and how?
