This is the first time I've come across this variety in my lawn. It is pretty and allowed me to take a couple of pictures.
Any info would be appreciated.

CLOSED: Dragonfly?
This is indeed a dragonfly. It is in the family Libellulidae (skimmers), and appears to be a juvenile white-tailed skimmer (Libellula lydia); the abdomen becomes nearly entirely white in older specimens. See http://davesgarden.com/guides/bf/go/24/ for more images.
Very cool! When I first saw it it flew off. Then after a minute it came back and started "posing"! LOL! Thank you for the information.
