I found this bug on my Allium flower. Any ideas?
CLOSED: A very tiny bug.
Could you try taking another photo? This might be one of the very small solitary bees in the family Halictidae ("sweat bees") - see http://www.everythingabout.net/articles/biology/animals/arthropods/insects/bees/sweat_bee/
Yes after reading about the sweet bees that is what I have many of them in the sun are green. They fly really fast and only land for short periods. I'll try and get them to hold still but I'm not sure how. I do have three bee houses in my yard, these aren't the one's using the bee houses. Thanks for your help.
That last one does appear to be a halictine bee - they have a sting all out of proportion to their size!
