This appears to be a broad-nosed/short-snouted weevil (Coleoptera: Curculionidae; subfamily Entiminae) - see http://farm1.static.flickr.com/149/336867964_c2e4b0d73a.jpg?v=0 for an example. Some species in this group, such as the strawberry root weevil, can be important pests.
