I recently have been finding these in my house, one every couple of days, never in groups. I have had large cockroaches before but I found these during the day in not hiding from the light. They are around a half inch in length, and I'm pretty sure they have wings.
This is a long-horned wood-boring beetle (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae). However, it does not appear to a species that would infest timbers in a house.
