I am so happy to see so many gardeners from Ohio, and would love to chat with all of you. Has anyone heard of Zinks of Berlin in Ohio? It is a fabric store and I lost the addresss, I know that it has nothing to do with gardening but I thought that I would ask.

LindaMarie it would be nice to talk to a young whipper snapper lol. I live about 35 miles from the airport, so I would have a hard time with the drive because of a lower back injury.

Gardenwife it is nice to hear from you again and hope that we can find the time to get together sometime, I haven't been to Newark in about 20 years,so you'll have to give me directions.

Deanne is that east or west of Columbus, I could look it up on a map, but it would be easier just to ask lol

New Paris, OH

I'm about 2 hours due west from Columbus on the edge Ohio. I'd be into seed trading and talk.

Ohiorganic that sounds great since I live on the far westside of Columbus. If you feel like chatting just e-me I answer all my email.

:-( - gee, for 30 years I lived right between Columbus & Cincinnati but that was my other life when I worked 50 to 60 hours a week and didn't have time to garden. Now I work 50 to 60 hours a week and it's ALL gardening. I miss the lilacs in the spring and the corn fields in the summer.

This is un-real. I lived in Newark, for 15 years. Really is a small world isn't it. Haven't been back in a long time. I have heard it has really grown.

(Zone 5a)

Vic and Idit it's very nice to meet both of you and Ohio is growing.

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

Wow, Idit - that is wild! Did you know Calalily has a friend in Newark and comes up this way for plant courses in Columbus every year? One time in chat she asked if I'd ever heard of Wilkins Corner. We go to the little store there on SR79 whenever we're up that way. Really small world! Where did you live in Newark? It has REALLY mushroomed in the last five-ten years. You'd hardly recognize Newark-Granville Road, or River Road, either -- so many houses and condos have sprung up. :-( I miss the fields and trees.

I used to live on Central avenue. A couple of streets over from Mt.Vernon Rd. If it is still there. My old stomping grounds. Lots of good memories there. And the flowers that I left behind...:(

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

We know exactly where that is. Our friends live just over on Eddy. :o) Central Avenue is one of the most decorated streets at Christmas. Was it when you lived there? If you're ever up this way, Idit, be sure to leave time for a visit. Maybe we can cruise by your old house and you can get divisions. :o)
