Etera Perennials filed Chapter 11 on July 27, 2001. If you e-mail them, you get an autoresponse with their lawyer's phone number in case you're a creditor. This is soooo sad...Their plants are excellent and I have many in my yard!!
Here's an article I found about their filing and the change in leadership:
http://europe.thestandard.com/article/0,1902,28643,00.html
And here's the article the above one refers to (from just July 16) saying how well Etera is doing: http://www.thestandard.com/article/0,1902,27601,00.html
Here's another Washington paper's article on the layoffs and filing: http://seattlep-i.nwsource.com/business/32601_cuts25.shtml
Go figure. I hope they can bounce back from this. I was really sorry to hear this news and I feel bad for former CEO Carl Loeb.
Waaaaaah! *sniffle*

How sad, their plants were always so healthy...
I hate to see one of our local enterprises have such difficulty.
