CLOSED: crazy looking spider!

Yongin, South Korea

This was seen in 2007 in fall(I think-maybe it was spring.) in Brookline, Massachusetts on a Queen Anee's lily. I'm thinking maybe a spider of genus Araneus in family Araneidae.

Shape like other araneus spiders, White back, white and maybe translucent legs and pink sides . Thank you!

Wait! Upon further looking at the Araneus spider pictures, most of them do not resemble my spider. My spider had a high, round and smooth back almost like a shell and legs poking out of the front part almost like a cuttlefish.

This sounds more like a crab spider (family Thomisidae) in the genus Misumena - have a look at http://www.britainsorchids.fieldguide.co.uk/images/misumena_vatia.jpg and see what you think. These spiders are capable of changing their color over a period of a few days to better match their surroundings. They are 'sit and wait' ambush predators on insects coming to flowers.
