CLOSED: Does this guy sting? Identify plz. Wasp, Bee, of common fly?

Boca Raton, FL

I found this brown one on the floor of my house. They are aggressive and will fly at you. They come in this color brown + black or yellow + drk brown. I was stung by the yellow one already. They sting me all the time and leave everyone else alone. They find my veins and keep stinging until they hit it. I am not sure if this colored one has stung me yet so I am trying to identify. We get lots of these in the house so I am very worried. I live in south Florida, USA on the everglades. We have so many things that look like wasps. Some have stingers tucked under their bottom and some like this one only have a small point. How can I tell dangerous from harmless? Thank you.

This is a deer fly (family Tabanidae). They are all too common in many areas of the country, and are very avid blood feeders along with their larger cousins, horse flies.

Wow. Thank you!!! I run for cover when they are flying thinking that they are stingging but I guess they are really hungry, none the less I rather keep my blood. They look quite different when they are babies (skinny) compared to the full plump adults. Thank you very much for identifying it.
