CLOSED: unidentified bug in house

Ashland, KY

I have found these bugs in the bathroom and computer room. They are fast-moving, and they just started appearing a couple days ago. I would like to know what they are and how to get rid of them. I caught two of them tonight and have attached a picture of one of them. Thanks for the help!

Maybe genus Statira, a long-jointed darkling beetle. Compare these pics and info with your beetles:

Sinks Grove, WV

This is a ground beetle (family Carabidae), likely in the genus Galeritula; members of this genus sometimes are known as false bombardier beetles. They are active predators on other small arthropods, and thus may be considered beneficial. They are attracted to light, and this may be how they found their way into your house.
