CLOSED: What's making the little holes in leaves

Gilmer, TX(Zone 8a)

I know nothing about garden bugs and this is my first serious gardening year. I don't want to lose it to whatever this is.

Please help. I know I should know, I've seen it, just didn't get info.

Thanks!!!!

It looks a lot like slug damage...

What can I do. I never see anything on them, but that's one thing I've heard of, the slugs, just didn't know what they do. There must be a ton of them, cause I've got damage everywhere.

Is there a certain bug killer I need to use.? Thanks for helping!!!

Definietly slugs, i have them and have tried coffee grounds, dish soap and beer. none of which worked well, if someone has a good idea to get rid of them, i would like to know it. thanks

I thought slugs left somekind of slimy stuff. No? I put sevin dust on them just to see until I could find out a real remedy.

by the way- that plant looks like (wild) Asiatic dayflower which is a really rampant self-seeder around here. But can fill an area with juicy reclining stems with blue flowers that only last a day.

I use sluggo any place where my cats can get to and it's pretty darn effective, but it wears off faster than the other that I use and it's fairly pricey for the amount. So, where the animals can't get to I use deadline slug bait, it's quite effective. Believe me, here in my climate, where the sluggs are the size of small bananas.... we take our slug bait Very seriously!!!

Thanks ya'll.

I hate that stuff Sally. It is everywhere. There are a couple places I leave it cause it's really bare, but I spend my life jerking that stuff u. I really think it's pretty, b ut it DOES take over.

Off to buy my deadline. I got just plain old bug spray yesterday, but of course it doesn't kill slugs. Woe is me
