DEAD BEAT SEED TRADERS
another great dger coming to the rescue!!! WTG Lee!!
Thanks just doing what someone else would do for me!!
I can honestly say that 95% of my trades are good experiences. Yes, there are a few folks that don't follow through from their end. I do d-mail the person (twice) and then drop it. I will leave bad feedback if I remember to. I have run into the situation where something happens to someone (illness) and they didn't get back to me until months later after I had already forgotten. And they made it good by finally sending me their seeds. Life happens.
I do know that there are free-loaders just about everywhere, so expect it here on the seed trading forum as well. But I think that percentage is very, very low. Most folks are good traders.
And ... if by chance I owe anyone seeds and they never got them ... sometimes they never arrive via USPS. If the trader lets me know ... I will resend. At least one or two bubble envies never make it to their destination every year from my end. Not sure what happens to them. Do they go to the same place as those missing socks??? LOL!
LOL, Becky. There has got to be a huge sock and seed pile,.... somewhere. : )

I really love it when someone agrees to a trade for lets say 20 bhut jolikia seeds for 20 trinidad scorpions.
You send yours out(in a padded envelope) and when you get their end of the trade(in a regular envelope ,seeds wrapped in paper) it ends up being 2 sick(smashed) looking trinidads and several seeds that they substituted without telling you.
It's usually some seed that is very common like jalapeno or sweet banana pepper seeds that they sub with.
The reason I trade is to get stuff I can't find locally or that seed companies run out of really fast.
I SASBE stuff I have a lot of if asked.
The stuff I trade is harder to get most of the time.
The stuff I want is sometimes even harder to find because I now have 400+ varieties of pepper seeds and new kinds are getting harder to find so when I do find something new I really look forward to getting it and I'm not very happy when I don't get what I was supposed to.
I look at these trades, if you can call it that ,as stealing my seeds.
If you asked and I had enough to give you I would just give you some.
Don't lie to me because you know they are rare or expensive seeds and you want them.
Something rare to you might not be rare to me-Maybe I just grew a ton of whatever peppers and have more seeds than anyone could ever want.
People that do that stuff get on my do not trade list.
I think they only hurt themselves because I do grow a lot of plants and when things go well I have a lot of different seeds to give for the asking plus a few stamps.
I allways give extra seeds that people didn't know I was sending because I hate tossing out good seeds because I can't use them/have too many..
I literally have pounds of seeds if you put them all together. They are from my plants or friends plants.
I hate tossing seeds in the trash so much that when I go to the store and see they have automatic sprinklers on the islands in the parking lot and all thats growing there is weeds, the next time I go I bring a handful of mixed seeds and toss them on the island.A few grow and the pigeons get the rest.
The area I live in has a lot of Mexicans living here and someone ends up digging up the plant and taking it home.
I just toss more seeds out when the plants that grew are gone.
Once a plant gets pods they go away really fast.
The laundrymat people must love cleaning the lint filters from seeds that washed out of my pockets when I do my wash.
I'm sure I've spilled a few in my pockets when I've carried them around.
I know when I go to pull out change at the store I get a seed or two every so often. : )
So do the seeds put on the sock and just hop away? : )
