We suspect Hercule is a Lakenvelder cross but of course no way to know for sure. The opinion of the President of the Delaware Chicken Society was that he is not a Delaware or any part thereof. LOL
I emailed Ideal this weekend expressing my displeasure at not receiving a single Delaware in my order of 5 roos. I asked if they will replace or refund them as I did not get what I ordered. We'll see if they answer. I was waiting till they all had enough feathers that I wouldn't hear let's wait till they feathered out.

Gretel is a hoot. She has now decided that food taste better if I had feed her at every meal. I have to stand there and hold leaves for her to munch on or she just drops them and keeps begging me for food.

waht are you gonna do with five fake roos? oh, nevermind, i remember LOL

5 fake roos = chicken pot pie, chicken stew, chicken salad, etc LOL

you simply must stuff the fattest one and roast it...

Right now it would take all 24 chicks to make one good roast LOL! They're getting heavier though. I'd say well over 1 pound, maybe 2.
