Is it me, or is there something wrong with these bulbs I received...
They are suppose to be Stargazers. Received from a vendor. They are very mushy and have a "smell". I tried rinsing them and setting them to dry out a bit.

Bulbs... is this right?
I'm no expert but they would make me nervous I think I would pot them in pots and pray some one who knows will be here to help

They look pretty bad. Who was the vendor? In my opinion it is way too late to be shipping lilies. Unlike tulips and daffodils, lilies are never dormant, even after the foliage dies back in the fall. Bulbs shipped in the spring were harvested last fall and kept in cold storage, but there is a limit to how long they can be stored that way. Leave feedback in the Garden Watchdog.
These were actually replacements for a previous error made. I want to give the vendor a chance. If nothing comes through then I will have no choice but to but a comment in the Garden Watchdog, as I wouldn't want my fellow members to have the situation that I have had. But I have contacted the vendor and I want them to have the chance to make good on it before making it public.
They were packed in what appeared to be dirt, not peatmoss.... very little at that... but way too wet. They shipped on 5/13 according to the date on the box... I got them yesterday, the 16th. I don't think this kind of damage could have happened during shipping. The box did not sit out. I am home everyday and was here when the mail came, so they were brought inside right away.
Any how, I suspect there are other mistakes made in my order yet to be discovered... as all the lilies I ordered have not bloomed yet. We'll see how it all goes.
Thanks for your help...
Donna
At this point, you might as well just plant them and they just might be OK.
I've received a couple of fairly dry bulbs in the past (yes, they do feel squishy) and they did surprisingly well, when I expected them to not survive.
