Welcome to Texas Fancyflea.:) Dave's Garden is a wonderful place to be.

Trois where did you get that hibiscus? It's awesome.

Santa Fe, TX(Zone 9b)

We have had it for about 20 years. It is blooming a lot right now. What is the next RU you will attend?

Fredericksburg, TX(Zone 8a)

I hope to be at the CS RU next spring. I wish there could be a closer one. Three hours is a long drive to get some plants, but I probably wouldn't get to see the same people and I like the people as much as the plants.:)

sliver I have no idea where you are from Jacksonville but there is an East Texas RU on the 28th of June it is in the forum

Fancyflea - that is a beautiful photo. It makes me want to pull up a lawn chair and sit a spell.

Mibus, I am about 1 hour west of Austin and north of San Antonio. The College Station RU is a 3 hour drive for me. East Texas would be atleast as far. But thanks anyway.:)

well I wasn't' sure where you were so I thought it better to at least mention it for anyone interested in coming.

I just wish I had the gas money and could make it to all the Ru's that go on just to meet all these wonderful people in DG.

Fredericksburg, TX(Zone 8a)

I agree with you Mibus. I don't think I have time for more plants right now, but it would be really nice to meet the people in person that I've already "met" here.

Welcome Fancyflea.....some say I was in Texas before the dinasaurs...hey, it's the best place in God's creation, next to heaven, to be. See ya around.

Thanks eyes for your welcome. So far I love it here.....heat and all. Amazed what I can grow in the Houston area. I've been reading all about tropicals.

Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

Ooo, fancyflea, if you like tropicals, you need to come to the Houston swap next month and see Randy's garden! Here's a thread about it: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/861047/

Yes indeed FF, you need to go.......you'll be forever a changed woman.

ROFLOL Well, I'm not sure I could promise quite that much! But I can practically guarantee a good time with fun folks and really good food! :-)

Wharton, TX(Zone 9a)

I know all about Randy and his wonderful tropical garden from reading Daves' garden. I'll try and see if I can get over there. It sounds like a fun time. Sure would be great to meet some Texans......
