How toxic is Euphorbia black bird?

Plano, TX(Zone 7a)

Hi,

I was planning to get some of Euphorbia black bird plants till I read this..

"Euphorbia Blackbird’, like all spurges, produces a white, milky latex sap that can cause irritation to the skin and eyes."

Should this be of concern since I have two small kids? I will stay away from getting this if it is dangerous (like poison ivy), my kids get into enough trouble as it is.

thanks,

Maybe a bit of a "don't touch this" comment is a good idea for the kids. If you ever get it in the eyes - use milk to relieve the pain/irritation. It's mostly the transfer - cutting stems, getting sap on your hands and then wiping your forehead or eyes later.
