I found a few of these in my apartment that is partially below ground level. Any idea what it is? They appear somewhat waxy. I did notice some kind of wasp or hornet in a room near on of them but I have not found any insects directly next to them. I want to figure out what the are, in order to go about the proper way of exposing them. Thanks.
Looks like a fungus to me, especially as you mention it's waxy. Is it particularly damp where it is?
It would be damp as I found them in the bathroom and near the dishwasher. I was out of the appt for 2 weeks. I'm guessing this would be enough time for something like this to grow?
