Can I root cuttings from a carnation? I mean the larger flowered ones that you'd find in a bouquet. Not the small "pinks".

i would think that you could just divide them. should be pretty easy.

It would be more difficult because rooting a flowering cutting is always tougher to do.

I read that the flowering cuttings are preferred because they have the longest stalks.
