The storm broke off a nice size piece of my one peony tree. I am wondering how I can propogate the Peony tree? The broken piece has some root to it as well as a bloom. I stuck it in water until I could find out how I should plant it. Do I cut it back and plant it as you would any other plant, of does it need something special. Anyone know?

Seeds and root cuttings - stems won't root - I tried it on more than one occasion.
Kay, thank you. This stem has a tiny bit of a root on it and I put it in a good starting medium and so far it looks good and is still alive. Thanks for the information.
You are welcome - I'd say, with a root on the cutting, you should be successful.
