I'm sure counting on that.
Welcome Back 'Home', Louise
Welcome Home Louise! Sorry I missed this thread and sorry to hear about the vandal attacks. Louise, you should post some of your pics of your potting shed for our newer members. It's the kind of place you want to pass the afternoon in peace and with nature.
Great photo of my little friend, Candyce! What a cutie she is! You never know, she and Colin might become IT teachers!! LOL
We got lost last night going to our grandson's T-Ball game in Gilsum and ended up on the main road in Nelson. I knew you weren't far from there, so I kept looking for a mill pond. No luck, but your ears may have been burning.
We saw the cutest thing at the T-ball game. The team is made up of an equal number of 5-year old boys and girls. When one little girl got up to bat, she took her pink blankie with her and ran the bases holding onto it. It was so adorable....I asked my DH to take a photo of it. Cute, huh?
Oh, Thank you, Weez....I'll do that. That is so nice of you to say, and I really do love being "up there". LOL
This morning we had this visitor on our patio. When I opened the screen door to take a shot, all of the quills filled out, and then she scampered up the tree by our internet sattelite dish. I named her Polly.....
That's so cute! I love watching my son's t-ball games. I like the pink gloves, helmets and bats the girls have now. And the cutout in the helmet for the pony tail.
Simply adorable T-Ball team, Louise!
If you saw a bathtub sitting outside of a big white house on your side trip through Nelson, then you saw my house. The bathtub is actually part of the front yard landscaping which has yet to be filled with annuals for the season.
Isn't it fun, Victor? Does your son have girls on his team too? We were very impressed with how the coaches approached the game with positive comments to each child.
Candyce - I didn't see any bathtubs......but I will be anxious to see your finished "tub des fleurs". LOL
OK, then. I guess you weren't as close as I thought you may have been. Sigh. I KNOW the coffee was on!! You could have had a cup.
Yes, it's about half boys and half girls.
Candyce - thanks....but we were quite late to the game. We took a very long way around the barn to get there, but the up side was that it was a gorgeous drive - including your area (Nelson Road). We concluded it must be a gorgeous place for a fall foliage drive.
Victor - do the kids watch the sky more than the game???? LOL That's what our grandson did when he was out in the infield. I don't think he got the concept of fielding. He had two really good hits though. We had so much fun watching the antics.
Yes, they do everything but pay attention to the game. And then they all converge on the ball!
Welcome home, Louise! "Be it ever so humble, there's no place like home"! (except for warm Florida in the winter!)
I agree Sue. I'm going to hide myself in one of Louise's suitcases next year!
Thank you, Sue! I think about you every day here, because I have the cutest little bright red and yellow primrose all bright and cheery beside my front porch. My DH smiles when I say, "Good morning, Sue" to it. LOL
Candyce - How about I plan to host a NE Forum southern RU next winter????? Think we'd have some takers???? We have one guest bed that everyone would have to share! LOL I love our little house, BUT it IS little.
I'm very excited. I posted on one of the threads this winter that I bought a cutting from one of Thomas Edison's brugmansias at the Edison estate. It was doing great when I left. My neighbor just called to tell me that it has 6 (!!!) flower buds on it right now. Another young neighbor friend emailed me that she will take a photo of it and email it to me when she returns from Belgium. I've tried to have the rule that I think only about the plants right in front of me, but this will have to be an exception to my rule. LOL
Thomas Edison brugs should grow from bulbs, no?
Boy, you don't miss a thing, Victor.......yes! I'm sure they would grow brugs or rubber plants if you put a few light bulbs in the ground - about 2 inches deep!! LOL
Oh, Louise, that's so sweet! Are you going to make it to the RU at Kassia's? I'd love to meet you!
Louise:
You lucky duck, you! I hope that when you receive the photos of your Thomas Edison's brugmansia baby, you will post them here, too. It is so exciting!!!
On the idea of an RU in our area, I'd be so willing to help you organize one. Also, I could talk to Anna and see if she would like to hold one here at our house. We have tons of space, but we also have a very busy family. But I agree that holding an RU in our area would be fun, especially since I see that at least two more people from the Monadnock Region have subscribed today.
Candyce - LOL - you glossed right over that "southern" RU idea (in Fla.) next winter....LOL. I was sort of joking about that, but perhaps we can do a Monadnock Region mini-RU later in the summer - either at your house or if that's too much for the family, maybe here if the sill construction which will tear the house up gets over with in time. How exciting to have some more Monad DGs around here. I'll have to check out the new subscribers.
Oops, Louise!
I get so excited about getting together with other DGers, ya know. My bad!
No bad! Sounds like a good idea!
