Barberry and Holly

Four years ago I planted barberry and moonglow juniper in a partly sunny spot. Barberry is doing well, juniper needs disposing of. I am thinking of replacing juniper with holly. I want something evergreen that will eventually get about 8-10 feet tall. What variety will work in part sun? Can I shape Holly to make it grow taller? If not Holly, any other ideas? I live in northeast Masachusetts - zone 5.
