READ: NO pic just my lame description...LOL Had I had sense I would've at least took a pic of the seeds...oh well...you know what they say about hind sight...LOL Last year when I was at the beach I collected those Ipomoea sagittata seeds...I also saw what I "thought" were Moonflowers...white blooms with a pleasant subtle scent. When I took those seeds out last week...I realized that they were most definitely not moonflower seeds...at least not the ones I'm accustom to. These were maybe 1/3 of the size and dark....not black but a very dark brown - wedge shaped. This may be an impossible request...but any thoughts as to what these are? I'll be happy when/if they come up (planted last weekend) to take pics...as I realize that maybe be needed based on my sorry description.
Up for an ID challenge?
Hi Chantell,
If you have any seeds left, take a photo of them... someone here may be able to ID them for you.
A.
Yeah...just call me Miss IQ...I planted all of them last week....LOL Smart is as smart does...sad, eh?
Chantell - I wonder if this might be the White blooming beach morning glory that you are talking about:

Chantell - Becky might be right about the I.imperati but the questions that I ask are:
Were the flowers completely white(?) or was there yellow in the tube(?)...
What shape were the leaves(?)...
Did the seedpods hang with the top of the pod facing the ground (?) or did the seedpods remain erect with the top facing towards the sky(?)...
Were the seeds completely smooth or was there any degree of fuzz visible on the seedcoat or around the hilium (aka eye / bellybutton)...
Did the vine twine and climb(?) or was it just a trailer(?)...
Please post closeups of the top view of the cotyledons and the first true leaves...

Ok...sadly I'm clueless about most of the questions...but they do help me for future seeds. I don't recall them being fuzzy/hairy like the Ipomoea sagittata were...and certainly not nearly as big. I will post pics when they come up with leaves though.
