Gee, guys...thanks so much!!! They put the surgery up a week...so it will be on the 16th now... I'm still really pumped about it...doing as much as i can to make it successful: losing weight, taking zinc and vit.B and calcium, getting acupunture (really helps) and smelling lots of hoyas!!!!

Just a note to let everyone know that Carol is doing fine after her surgery. The operation apparently went well, and she is resting (and enjoying her meds) in Honolulu for a few days. She will be recuperating with friends for about a week, then will be heading home.

Well....I am limited to either lieing down or standing up and moving. My sitting down time has to be broken up every 20 mins. to keep blood flow going. So, while the meds are working best I get up and move around, do a bit of computer work and then power nap for about an hour.... Being home, with the sound of the breeze thru the trees, the birds socializing (and fighting over a hand of ripe bananas) is the best curative i think....sure beats the babies crying, metal clanking and people being paged!!! I got out of hospital on the 4th day...couldn't stand it. When stronger I will saunter out to the greenhouuse and see what is going on..... The 'staff' is taking good care of me (Although Louise is struggling with aspects tray carrying!!!)

Spent an hour with Bob out in the GH...we picked string beans and I watered the baby plants while he watered everything else...walked a lot. It is AMAZING how much stronger i feel EVERY day... I think i am going to be really glad I did this!!!!

That's great, Carol!! One day at a time and soon you'll be better than ever and ready to trip the light fantastic! ;)
