I baked this cake a couple of nights ago. It is an old recipe and I haven't baked it in years, don't know why, I just forgot how good it was! I wanted to pass it along to ya'll.
HERSHEY BAR CAKE***************
Use a large mixer bowl for this.
*Creme 2 sticks of butter (no subs) with 2 cups sugar. Creme together until light.
*Add 8 Hershey bars that have been melted over a double boiler.
*Add 4 eggs, one at a time and mix after each one.
*Mix 2&1/2 cups flour & 1/2 teaspoon salt
*Mix 1 cup buttermilk & 1/8 teaspoon baking soda
*Add flour mixture & mix alternately, with milk mixture
*Add 2 teaspoons vanilla & 1 cup chopped peacans.
Bake at 350 in a bunt pan for about 1 hour.

Bud, I melted about 3 more Hershey bars for the icing and drizzled it on. It really doesn't call for icing, but I think you can never have too much chocolate!! Love it! Lisa

OH MAN Lisa,
This is not what I want to see right now. I have been on Weight Watchers for several months and have lost a ton of weight. Do you have any idea how good this sounds to me!!!! I will have to keep it for future references, maybe as a big treat after all my weight loss is done. I could make it for company also, then I could sneak alittle bite. HeHe.

Dignbloom, gotta have the stuff, at least a piece of chocolate a day! Right now I am dangerous! My house is loaded with Hershey bars! Southwest airlines had a promotion that if you sent in "X" amount of Hershey UPC codes you get a voucher for their plane tickets. We went to Sam's and stocked up! Lisa

I used to do competitions with some of the supermarkets to try and win prizes. Writing slogans. Won quite a few prizes. Some of my friends won holidays and cars. I used to have shopping bags bulging with New Zealand apples, Lurpak, Kelloggs cereal. Bet you'd be good at that kind of thing justmeLisa. How many Hershey bars would you need for a flight to the moon, say?
