I need help quick!

Lake Toxaway, NC(Zone 7a)

I posted this in the gardening forum, but thought I'd spread it around. My blackberry lilies kind of fell over and were smothering the impatiens so I dug them up. I need to replant them but don't know how deep or what requirements they need. The reason I don't know this from when I first planted them was because I thought I was being sent Louisiana Iris.
Do they like sun, part-shade? Should the soil be acid, neutral or alkaline? How deep should I plant them? Maybe they were too shallow and that's why they fell over. HELP! I also need to know if the leaves should be cut back, like iris, when I plant them

Lyles, TN

Woodspirit~ My Belamcanda's are no more than 2 inches deep, part sun, part shade, but they came from a spot pretty sunny all day. IMHO just move them and water them in well.

Hi Woodspirit' Well, I myself would not
have dug them up' Lilies foliage dies
back in the fall but the bulb stays
alive' I'd just replant them, water in
good and hope for the best''Lilies pre-
fer full sun but will tolerate some shade'
I'd plant 3 times the size of the bulb'Not
sure about fertilizing,or soil require-
ments,acid I think but not sure'I don't know
either if you should cut the foliage as that
is food for the bulb to live on and produce
more flowers for the following year'May be
some one will know more and chime in,for
both of us''Sis'

Sis, they are called a lily but have no bulb, just some rather thick white roots.

Oh,that other lily,gotcha'' Then I'd
just replant and water in again''Good
luck''
