A few weeks ago, I spotted this in one of my Oak trees. It resembled a raspberry with a small amount of white fuzz on it. As you can see by the photo, it is now almost completely covered in white fuzz. I live in the Ouachita Mountains in Arkansas. Does anyone know what this might be??
Thanks
CLOSED: Is this a Nest ???
It's a gall, probably made by Cynipid wasps. Look down the page for the "Wool-sower gall":
