You guys are amazing. Everything is so neat!!! My most cultivated area looks like a jungle! Neatness is a virtue - one that's a stranger to my House & Garden!

Very nice thread!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

I would say I am pretty far from neat... hope you are talking about someone else

How lovely- and neat!!!
It's so much easier to sit indoors in A/C and look at others' neat gardens than it is to go out and actually clean up my OWN!
Oh, well, I need to get weedin'...mulchin'.. this is the "never ending maintenance" season I really don't like.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

mulch is a big key.... I haven't really weeded this area at all... that's honeys job... and he hasn't done it at all yet.. it kills my ankles

Very nice shots. I'll try to get some after shots this week. I have areas that are completely overrun with weeds and grass. Very discouraging. I'm not into garden 'chores' to begin with, but with the heat, bugs and kids home, I usually just give up this time each year.

Thanks Allison, sorry I posted in the middle of your pics. I like all the different levels you have made. A lot of hard work creating those beds.

corn?

Carmel, NY(Zone 6b)

Yes, ma'am, and I sure am hopeful that it will produce better than last years crop (which was better than the one before - which produced about 4 very deformed ears!)

Your property looks fabulous! How long have you been working it?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

That corn is worth a lot this year! Great shots, Allison! Wonderful progression. Your effort has really paid off.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Allison, the before and afters are great, I wish I took before pics of my yard. I don't want to remember what it looked it, Hee hee.
Patti-What a difference looking thru that arbor.

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Great before and now pics, everyone! There's some really nice gardens out there! I've enjoyed taking the progessive tour of each one!

Boxford, MA(Zone 6a)

I'm soooo jealous you guys!!!!
My gardens are perfect, too, but I just broke my camera ;0)

I really did!!! That's why my plants are looking better than ever! Seriously, I went out to take some pics, and all I get is a "format error" in the viewfinder. I erased the chip, but that didn't help. Any ideas?

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

in Jan will be 5 years we owned the house... been doing the garden for almost 3 years

can you re-format the chip in the camera Jax?

Carmel, NY(Zone 6b)

Very nice when you see your efforts pay off so well!

Boxford, MA(Zone 6a)

I don't know how :0(

Carmel, NY(Zone 6b)

Oh, no! That sounds sooooo sad!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

have your manual Jax?

Boxford, MA(Zone 6a)

The MANUAL??? Oh, no! I was hoping it wasn't going to resort to that. I'm sure it's somewhere. I know it's much bigger and more complicated than the camera.

Maybe it's just easier to buy a new chip.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

I feel bad for electronically challenged people... it's just in your menu somewhere... wish I was there to help... sorry
