lol...... not sure how old the plant is , just got it in the fall. right now its about 4 ft. tall will get 5-6 ft. one single bloom is bigger than your palm...

Woodinville, WA(Zone 8b)

These are pretty exotic looking.

Coos Bay, OR(Zone 8a)

oh silly me forgot to include the name... called tahitian dawn

Coos Bay, OR(Zone 8a)

thanks.......... i have over 50 separate varieties of rhodies.... just love 'em!!! when i lived in the calif. valley really had never even heard of them.......... move to oregon and bam........ there everywhere. native to or and wa...... so all the hybrids do very well here. the wild ones grow as big as 40-50 ft. they are a specacular sight to behold. and all color in the spring.. breath taking.

Coos Bay, OR(Zone 8a)

gordon.....
is that lavendar or westringia in the left side of you pic?

Port Angeles, WA(Zone 8b)

Shokami ~ love them both. May have to find one of each! Anyone know the name of the nursery in Chimicum that specializes in rhodies? Can't remember off the top of my head, but I bet I could find them there...

Port Angeles, WA(Zone 8b)

Never mind...it's Chimacum Woods. http://www.chimacumwoods.com/The%20plants.htm

Here's one for you all:

Delosperma congesta. Compact Ice Plant in full bloom, flowers are bigger than the plant. Ok, I cheated, bought it at HD. Apparently fully perennial here. Mostly bought it cause its a member of the the family Aizoaceae with Lithops and other extreme succulents. Yep, I know it may try to take over, but what the heck, nice flowers anyway.

Here's a pic of a little Columbine I have had for years. Its about 6" tall, and very faithful about flowering.

Here's a Brunnera Jack Frost that has also been quite happy with me.

Here's an azalea which has been living by my front door since we bought the house. No idea if it is an Azalea or a Rhodie, but it sure has nice color. Not a big bloom this year. Probably should fertilze it a pinch, eh?

Here's what I think is Phlox diffusa, giving us the usual spring show. It has finally gotten to the size I wanted covering up the brickwork at the edge of the driveway.

Here's an unknown non-native fern in my garden showing a few fiddleheads.

Anybody want some vinca. Here's the weed patch in my backyard.

Sedum rupestre Angelina vs Rudbeckia fulgeda Goldsturm.

I tell you, between these two battling, its tough to call a winner. Just when I thought Angelina was going to take over the cracks, here comes Goldsturm squeezing out a few plants. Will they make it? And will Angelina start climbing to crush Goldsturm.

Tune in for the final later this summer. But there may be some disruption to a good clean fight, buy some folks saying "Sure Rob, we want some!"

Here's one final. Nothing blooming.

5 plants one pot, can you find them? All are visible, none below surface....

Thumbnail by AnalogDog
Union, WA(Zone 8b)

Yeah! I found them all.

Vancouver, WA(Zone 8a)

Yep, found them. Is the greener one a younger plant or a different variety? I've always liked those living stone plants-they're a Liriop or Lithiop or something like that, aren't they?

My ice plant is indeed truly perennial, even when it's partly in shade. Not too hard to rip out anyhow...

Poulsbo, WA(Zone 8a)

Love your pics, mosly the last one, The 'Stone' Succulent. can't remember the real name, and I know where it came from. LOL

Snohomish, WA

Too easy Rob! I already know your taste! They look alot like the one I got from Heidi.Just too weird, they are keepers! Three of my arisdaemas have come up now, and another podophylum also!
Got these babies tucked away, all happy!

The plants are all Lithops and all different species:

schwantesii is near the center
terracolor is near the bottom which has split into 2 heads
salicola is up near the top
olivacea is about 3:00
dorothea is about 9:00

All the plants are 3 to 5 years old. I don't know why salicola is so green, maybe the rocks are green where it grows. They are all doing the summer resting period, and will get watered only when the heads start to shrivel after getting all the water out of their old leaves. The plants don't have chlorophyll on the surface, they are windowed succulents with chlorophyll deeply embedded in their bodies, so not to get overheated.

Now if any of you all can give me an id on the Columbine or the fern, I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

Mountlake Terrace, WA(Zone 8a)

What the heck are the yellow ones?

Poulsbo, WA(Zone 8a)

Looks close to the this one native, don't know name, grows wilded here.

That's a lady fern, native. It's a beautiful fern. Better than sword fern.

Snohomish, WA

The orange plants are meconopesis napaulensis. I think everyone who went to Dragonfly got at least one of those, I had to have two!

Mountlake Terrace, WA(Zone 8a)

Gordon, you mean yellow plants? Yellow on my computer, anyway.

Snohomish, WA

No they are orange dog! Next time you are over you'll see! Crazy cool! That's why everyone got some.I noticed they aren't listed on the Dragonfly site, so must be pretty new.

Mountlake Terrace, WA(Zone 8a)

I will give you yellowish orange, but no more. Sorry dude. I will have to come over, if only to see that Pleiosplios simulans you have.

Everett, WA(Zone 7b)

Rob, if vinca is your weed, then you are lucky! Check this out... my misery...
