I'm so excited to share these pictures, my banana tree is producing!!!! I've never seen this before. Does anyone out there have any advice? When do I pick? Are they good eats? They look a little small to be "Chaquitas", will they grow? Will there be banana splits in my future?
Going BANANAS
Have never grown a banana myself, it gets too cold here. Very cool pic!
I have never seen a banana tree produce either. I have to say I think it looks beautiful. No help here, but I do hope you will have that banana split.
You might post on the Tropicals or Tropical Fruit forums, I know I've seen some banana growers post there before. I think you need to figure out what kind of banana you have...some are yummy but some are less so and are grown more for their decorative qualities.
Wow, how neat LisaLu!
Very cool!
LisaLu, you give me hope.
You also make me want to give my banana tree a good swift kick for not producing.
"See, B-tree! THAT banana tree is producing! Why can't you do like THAT banana tree!"
.
Gee, I wonder why my banana tree doesn't produce...
my gosh this IS sexy!
