For the past two days, I have been watching the architectural ingenuity of the Baltimore Oriole. It is simply amazing to watch the nest being built. In fact in some instances they use fishing line to provide added strength to the structure. That's easy to find along the shoreline. Once they have the main (outer) structure built they expand the nest by working from the inside out.

It really puts a new meaning to the term "bird brain" !!!
