Mcmurray chicks are sick again

Fritch, TX(Zone 6b)

yes, under birds... they have very good descriptions for the history and personality of the chickens, and sometimes have chicks. also, all are vet checked. saw some horses i would want but too far away to ride them back home LOL

Thanks Catscan. I doubt there are any fighting rejects. People who do that sort of thing don't bother finding their victims a home. They just kill them.

I think we're on the uphill now with the chicks. They all are loosing their puffiness and are more active now so i'm keeping my fingers crossed for good luck, no more sick goslings either. just the one.

so glad of that. they are such cute babies.

Good luck Kathy Ann!

MollyD--I'm sure you're right, but I think sometimes they are abandoned. Los Angeles tends to have a lot of roosters in the city shelters......

I think those are 'pets' Catscan, Around Easter the stores are full of those chicks in every color including some nature never intended. Parents by them for their kids as Easter gifts and then don't want them once they start growing and making normal chicken messes.

I've known people who ran those cock fights. Not nice people. They just pick them up and snap their necks. Remember these fights are to the finish. There is no live looser.

Yeh, we have a lot of cock fighting around here too--but it is so casual that the roosters tend to get loose and wander down the street. Luckily they don't seem interested in people. And they are very pretty--although I don't like dubbed comb.

This is the kind we have around here--they are really striking. If I had enough room I might keep a game breed--although they warn you they are targets for theft.

Now that I can understand! A cockfight bust! I bet those roosters would fight every rooster in your flock.
