I'm a smidge First Nations and a smidge Dakota and a smidge Bohemian and then Welsh, Dutch, Belgian, and some German and French thrown in for attitude's sake! I think it really goes to one's heart rather than one's heritage. DH and I used to Powwow a lot ~ the drum touches something deep inside me. Still have my dance shawl and a hide shirt and jacket I made (my stepdad wore the hide jacket I made at my wedding). But Celtic music touches my soul as well. I think we're all kin ~ Mitaku Oyasin.
Here I am Finally!
Like the pipes move me. I can't keep from crying when I hear them go. But I love the beat of a drum, as well.
Music stirs the soul and gladdens the heart. Not matter what kind.
One quarter Blackfoot, the rest a mix of Hispanic, Irish and English.
Wow, a trip is planning!! I go outside to weed and the bus gets going - what a surprise to look up and see it landing in the middle field! How wonderful. And an incredibly collection of nationalities - we sound like the UN! Except we also can proudly include the Cherokee Nation! Wahoo, we trump their cards anyday! (Hmmm, I wonder what ol' Sofer is - part grizzley bear, part moose, and the rest the wag of a dogs tail).
you are a fun bunch - one day. xo to you all.
WW, that's a poodle? oh, I can hardly wait to see.
That's all for now. Poor Tils was here for hours and could get this thing right so we have to locate the other pictures. I received a gift of a tiny hellebore from a seed that sailed across the fondness.
Patricia, it's very lovely . . inspiring, in fact.
And Mary, how sweet of you to make sure that you got some pictures posted.
Lovely afternoon today, all, don't you think?
I can not give be given any credit, I feel I have failed, have it once then cant find it again. If anyone is using Kodak Easy share.... Help!!!!
I use HP photo smart. I loaded my program to hers, but can not find the link to make them share. LOL
I felt so bad.
But she gave me the most cherished gift, I opened the box, and I have my very first Faerie. when I got home, had to plant the babies first, that she had dug for me. then I took him out of the box, and I was totally stunned, the gift from the Heart. Love you , Pat
I showed it to my DH, He says that goes in the Glass case. Finale word.
This is he's deybue (spelling)
Okay. Could Mindy's eyes get any bigger? So Pat, is Amber the more outgoing confident one of the two?
Willow ~ jealous, Jealous, JEALOUS of all your beautiful flowers! My Jean Marie is still stagnant, but I'm sure this is the year. After our Dunn Gardens tour, DH has decided he really likes rhodies and is smitten with yours. Your pictures are the yard of my dreams! I can only hope to have something so magnificent in my near future!
And what a lovely gift of the faerie to Tills. And your furbabies are just beautiful.
I have been working on this garden for twenty years and sometimes it still doesn't look so hot. I showed Tils some old pictures when it was at it's prime. How I have been re-doing some and it is again in transition.
Tils don't be so hard on yourself. We did our best and I certainly enjoy your company. I will try the CD thing soon.
Amber is very shy and submissive to people. Mindy has a thing with them. We haven't had many visitors since they came so we are working on it. Mindy snapped a one gal but hasn't done that again. They are both getting more confident.
The Rhody's are just starting, I think I have about forty.
Wow, gorgeous garden WW!
Thanks suzy ^_^
Maybe I wasn't paying attention or you didn't say but are your furfaces rescues?
Furfaces, I like that. I got them from a breeder who works for my veterinarian. We went to look at puppies (who were Mindy's) and I just wanted Amber. She kind of stuck out. She was for sale because this lady is trying to reduce the amount of dogs she has, so we took her. We had her for about three weeks and she was so clingy I thought another dog would be good for her. So we went back for another one and it turned out to be Mindy. They knew each other and are good friends and really enjoy their new home. I just rescued them from the pack.
So they ARE rescues! Yea, you!!!
At least they won't have to keep having litters or deal with the 12 other dogs. One of which was a standard size. My little girls were definitely intimidated.
All my pets, ever since I was little have been rescues. Everything from the tarantula caught in a flood to my present days kitties. The white one was from the local SPCA and the black one was from an abusive home, then on to a house with too many cats. She was quite fierce when we brought her out of there. She's come around, though. They mostly always do.
Cute!
In my family, when one of our animals dies, another usually shows up within days. Strays from somewhere. There must be a secert scent sprayed somewhere that tells others it is a good home.
Good picture of your faerie friend. He's gorgeous out of the box.
