Blue Silk Blooms

Houma, LA

I had problems with this one in the morning sun evening shade I had it in. I moved it to a spot that gets only bright sun and no more drooping leaves. The blooms are floppy but are about 5" and really feel like silk. Blooms stay open most of the day and they change colors in the late evening I really like this one.

Dorothy - Gorgeous! It really is a "fancy" morning glory! I have seeds and need to try growing Blue Silk. Don't know why I haven't yet but your photo has inspired me to locate my seeds! Love it!

Dorothy..very pretty.. such a soft blue.. and to feel like silk..amazing.. I thought the name came from the flowers sheen .. I'd never thought it felt like silk... great...
wonder why it is so sensitive to the sun.. seems like a vine should be lovong the sun... it would do better as a bush.. and could pick a shaded space for it's self.. I tried some blue silk a few years ago.. but none grew.. must have been some thing wrong with the seeds I had then..
save us some seeds this year.. I'd love to give it another go again
