Do you think they would want to play with it, TF?
My brother sent the photo, and I had to agree with
him that he would have had a big hole in the door
if it were at his house.

when Sam wa young and we would come here to visit, he couldn't paly out in the eveing because a puma always came up. we would see the tracks every morning. now, even at age 9, and all the big cats gone, he's over 100 punds and doesn't want to bbe out after dark, for fear the ML would mistake him for a juicy cow!!!

We've had lots of sightings in a 50 mile radius.
Before I bought this place, the wife of the previous
owner babysat several children.
It took me 2 years to clean this place up with all the beer
cans, bullet casings, broken clay targets, wire, metal
junk and children's toys in the strangest, hard to
get to places. I know that lady wasn't watching those
children carefully- you can just tell. They are some lucky
kids.

maybe they looked TOUGH and UN-TASTY!

I'm sure they were some tuff kids! again, you can
just tell! LOL

I heard about the mountain lion sighting in round rock and the one you spoke of last year. I grew up out near Dripping Springs, but have never seen one in the wild. We have had sightings in the area for over 30 years. As you probably know they have a 80-200 square mile range depending on the sex of the cat, so they are always here but hard to pinpoint. I own acreage out past Lost Maples state park and Leakey, that is one of the cougars strong holds in Texas due to the large hills and many rivers. My one close in counter came just three months ago. I took my nephew archery hunting for pigs. It was 2 a.m. and we were in a pop up tent. Approximately sixty yards in front of us we heard a bone chilling growl and from behind we heard what sounded like kittens calling back to their mom. The babies ran by us and continued to cry until they reached their mom. Scarry. I was so scared. We waited about an hour then walked back to the truck and left for the night. I have motion cameras at the property trying to catch a picture. Could have been a bobcat, but the mind runs wild at 2 a.m.

That would scare the tar out of me Lance, yikes. glad you made it to the truck.
See i would have imagined a really mad Big Foot LOL :)
My parents in CA are having ML problems .
the young males come down from the foothills in the creeks and follow them in town , jump the fences and end up in people back yards!!! yikes.
glad no ML in Ohio whew.

Cool story, Lance. Yes, they have that big circle
they like to travel, and personally I am very happy
there are cougars doing well enough to make their
rounds. I don't want to see any issues with people,
but I love it when an ecosystem works as it should.
They are such fine animals. Around here, so very
hard to track with all the rock.
