The Baltimore Orioles arrived yesterday (in case I didn't tell you already...lol)! I was able to get several pics from different doorways...I felt so lucky to get so many and wanted to put them on one thread. I will post them all as time allows and hope you enjoy seeing them as much as I have enjoyed having them here! They are in no particular order.
This is the male...ain't he gorgeous?!!!
Baltimore Orioles at the Farm!
Yipiee!! I saw one two years ago and thats what made me a bird watcher!
I hope some discover my feeding area.
Excellent shots Rose!!! I especially love #5!
The female is beautiful! Great job!
Thanks for posting these and we'll look forward to seeing the rest later.
Have a good time with your company!
dell-- that's so GREAT! Beautiful photos!
And so many of pretty ones! How many were in your group, do you think?
And will they stay to nest or are the migrating through??
I put out my oranges but haven't seen any yet.
For those interested in detailed information about the Baltimore Oriole here is the Birds by Bent link--very interesting:

dellrose, your guys are just beautiful!!! I haven't had time but I have a feeder and need to figure out something to put the jelly on up in the air lol I just hope they aren't here yet but I'm sure they are on their way if they aren't here yet. LOVE your pictures!

Great link, tabasco, thanks. I just cannot get over how beautiful the female is. I haven't seen one before your pic. Rose, and never thought that they would be four colored and georgeous.
Cool Rose, mine came back yesterday too!
Beautiful pics, I've got 1 lousy pic of mine but I hope to get more.
WOW!! The female is very pretty. I had no idea...
yah, dont' you love her tail? It's like a ballgown dress all laid out.
Great Orioles pics. I have only seen one, about 50 years ago.
Wow Wow!! Really enjoyed the photos rose. He's so flamboyant - sort of the Liberace of the bird world. She's just plain beautiful and regal. Thank you.
Fantastic pictures
I love love love the Baltimore Orioles.
I had a pair that used the same nest for years
I just love their song
Amos
Fantastic pics Rose! I think they are one of the most beautiful birds ever!
If the Orioles get frightened they land on the Maple tree overlooking the buffet table. Here is a long shot and the final pic.
Thanks to everyone for visiting! I am going to dreamland and tomorrow I am taking my visiting friend on a bird watching trip.
Edited to say that they were back in force again today...however I thought it would be rude to leave my company and start taking pics! LOL!
Another thing I wanted to mention is the males are various colors of orange. Some are the gold/orange and some the red/orange. I didn't know that!!

I only see a few here in the winter. I actually caught a glimpse of bright color yesterday that may have been one, but not sure since it flew into a tree so fast. Lucky you to see so many.
Such wonderful pictures. I enjoyed them very much and look forward to seeing them again this year.
You really captured their color and actions nicely!
Wow Rose. Incredible. You could have a new career ahead of you in bird photography! So glad you're giving your visitors a bird watching tour!
What a handsome fellow, and his lady is so precious also. Great job on the pictures Rose.
Do you have a lot of them? And did you spread oranges peels around the yard, like some have mention?
Wonderful pictures Rose. I am green with envy. For what it's worth, I would have kept shooting.
Hope they stay so you can. (I mean the birds, not the company) :-)

WOW~ how cool is THAT ~ great pictures of those lovely birds!
Thank you all again for looking and responding! This is something that I have really come to enjoy!
We have had the Orchard Orioles show up in the past few days as well as the Immature Baltimore Orioles. It has been a blast to watch them all eating the oranges I have all over the place as well as the grape jelly. One of the feeders I am using which has become quite popular is the metal bottom to a chicken waterer. It cost about $2 at the local farm supply store. I put the orange in the center and jelly around the outside portion. Here are some pics showing how popular this little feeder has become!
