As many of you know, the MaryLou Heard Memorial Garden Tour will be taking place the weekend of May 3rd and 4th.
One of the "Host" gardeners who lives in San Juan Capistrano is desperately in need of a "docent" to help the visitors who will be coming to see their large 1acre garden. The original docent is unable to help out due to an emergency.
If anyone is interested in helping out with this, please dmail me and I will give you the contact person's number...or you can find it by looking at the link listed below.
The docent should have a decent ability to ID plants and answer basic gardening questions for those who will be visiting.
This would just be for the one day, Saturday, May 3rd. 2008 from 10:00a.m. until 5:00 p.m. or whatever hours you would be able to assist.
You can read about the tour at this link: www.HeardsGardenTour.com
The host gardeners are really in need of someone to help with this, given the size of their garden and the large crowd that this tour draws. You don't have to be an "expert" by any means to help with this.
Please pass the word to anyone you may know that would be interested.
This is a non-profit tour and benefits a women's shelter, so any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
JD
