I found it in the close proximity of still water that's surrounding an old castle on the county side..

I searched for Sialis flavilatera and only found a pic of a wood carved one sold at auction!
A google for just 'Sialis' brings up more results, and Sialis lutaria seems to be one which matches. It is the Common Alder Fly.

That was very interesting information on the garden safari site, wallaby! So S. lutaria it will be. I got the Sialis flavilatera from one of my insect books that also mentions Sialis fuliginosa, the last one preferring running water, while the first prefers still water like with the one I found. But now I checked my other insect-book (I found back after having lost it) and that's a more professional one and it only mentions S.lutaria. So that will be it!
