I first noticed this cat. on my flowering maple, but as the heat of the day increased, it felt of the maple and wandering frantically around. I helped it onto a brugmansia leave, it continue to wander and disappeared into the mondo grass. Please help I.D.

Hi Lily, that's a Forest Tent cat, they have the white spots that look like foot prints on their backs:
