My Name is Gordon.. and 1/2 of what I grow are tropicals ..( mostly brugmansia and Plumerias ) I grow on my exposed roof top here in Brooklyn.....and a few things in the park here.. and some at Mothers in north AL

Well.. Thanks victor... it is a bit deceptive... all of the peremiter planters don't weight down the roof at all... all of the side planters/fence rest on the brick bearing walls that come up from the foundation... the planters/fence that go across the front and back.. are actually long 22' long box beams... open for planting in the top.. and the ends rest on these bearing walls also... [ this is a professional.. don't try this at home ]
but yes there is a bunch of things in the center ... and the lawn... see everything around the edges isn't bearing on the roof in any way,,, the planter /fence behind the umbrella is the box beam I was mentioning.. it only sits on the wall on the very ends... it's compleatly open underneath.. and doesn't sit on the roof at all..

Very Cool Gordon... and you dont have to worry about weeds and seeds drifting in.
