CLOSED: Any idea what kind of butterfly this is

Shot this photo in New Jersey in April just before dark. Butterfly is about 5/8" long and looks very different with wings open and closed. Cut and pasted photos wings open and closed. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

It's one of the owlet moths, called Psychomorpha epimenis. The larvae eat grape leaves.
